Empowering Women, Transforming Lives

Skill Up Project for Women: Empowering Women, Transforming Lives

Women are at the heart of every thriving community, yet many lack the skills and opportunities needed to achieve economic independence. To bridge this gap, Serene Soul launched the Skill Up Project for Women, in collaboration with local NGOs in Bogura. This program is dedicated to equipping women with practical skills and training, enabling them to secure sustainable livelihoods and improve their quality of life.

The Objective

The primary aim of the Skill Up Project is to empower women from low-income households by providing vocational training, financial literacy education, and mentorship. By doing so, we aim to:

Increase women’s financial independence through skill-building.

Enhance their self-confidence and decision-making abilities.

Contribute to the overall economic development of their families and communities.

Project Highlights

Collaborative Effort:
This project is a joint initiative between Serene Soul and two Bogura-based NGOs:

TMSS (Thengamara Mohila Sabuj Sangha): A prominent NGO focusing on women’s empowerment and development.

SETU (Society for Education and Training for Underprivileged): An organization dedicated to improving the socio-economic conditions of vulnerable groups through education and training.

The program offers hands-on training in skills that are in demand in local markets, including:

The project has enrolled 120 women from rural villages in Bogura, including areas like Shajahanpur and Dupchanchia.

Many of these women are single mothers, widows, or individuals from extremely low-income families.
